A nurse has warned that thousands of patients who use the Jab -Mounjaro of weight loss can run the risk of fatal organ failure, because general practitioners do not perform a vital test.
Dubbed the ‘King Kong’ of injections for weight loss and can now be prescribed by NHS GPS in an attempt to tackle the persistent obesity crisis.
But the injections often have side effects, ranging from serious dehydration, nausea and even life-threatening pancreatitis, from which health workers say they can be avoided with a simple blood test.
Rachael Joy, nurse and Chief Clinical Officer ShiftSaid a private care provider: “The safest way for people to use these Jabs is due to compulsory blood screening.”
She continued: “These blood tests help identify underlying health problems that must be managed before a patient starts the program, or if the treatment is completely unsuitable.”
Blood tests can test for liver function, thyroid problems, uncontrolled pre-diabetes and high levels of harmful fats called triglycerides in the blood.
These lipids come from foods, including butter, oil and other fats.
Although a certain level of these fats is essential for good health, high levels can increase the risk of heart disease.
Mrs. Joy said that a simple home boat test could cause a revolution in health care, so that obese people can safely start taking weight loss without knowing the risks

Mrs Joy warned: “If someone has really high triglycerides, they may run a higher risk of pancreatitis.”
Pancreatitis is the inflammation of the pancreas, a gland behind the stomach used for digestion and blood sugar regulation.
Although there is a high survival percentage for this condition, the organ failure can cause – which can be fatal.
In some cases of severe acute pancreatitis, the pancreas can lose its blood supply and become necrotic, which can cause deadly sepsis (a blood infection), so that other important organs can in turn fail.
Severe acute pancreatitis can also cause a systemic inflammatory reaction that causes other organs – such as the lungs and kidneys.
Mrs Joy continued: ‘People with uncontrolled diabetes also run an increased risk of being seriously dried out, which can be really serious.
“This can be missed without a blood test,” she added.

Susan McGowan, 58, from Lanarkshire, died of several organ failure last year, septic shock and pancreatitis after taking two low dose of Tirzepatide injections
Civil servants are now investigating whether JAB users affected by pancreatitis have a genetic property that leaves them a greater risk of side effects, of which MS Joy said they can also be marked by a simple blood test.
‘Sometimes these things are subtle, but can have a huge impact.
“We have to place these patients in the center and treat obesity like any other clinical health status.”
She is now insisting on healthcare officials to reconsider these punctures without strict guidelines, such as general practitioners struggling in time building.
As such, Shemed has made blood tests a mandatory part of their program before the revolutionary puncture is prescribed.
Last month, the UK Medicines Regulator launched a probe in the safety of FAT JABS after hundreds of users developed pancreatitis, leaving ten deaths behind.
The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said that it has received more than 560 reports from people who develop an inflamed pork after taking so-called ‘GLP-1’ injections since they were first launched.
The MHRA now calls for users who are admitted to the hospital with pancreatitis to report the side effect to authorities using the yellow card schedule of the regulator.

Health workers can also submit a report on behalf of patients.
This includes providing further information and submitting a saliva sample that will be used to investigate whether some people run a higher risk of acute pancreatitis when taking these medicines because of their genetic makeup.
Researchers hope that this will ultimately enable doctors to use rapid genetic screening tests before they prescribe medicines to make the process safer.
Side effects remain a significant burden for the NHS and studies have shown that they represent one in six hospital admissions.
The most important symptom of pancreatitis is severe stomach pain that shines to the back and does not disappear. Everyone who experiences this must seek immediate medical help.
Dr. Alison Cave, Chief Safety Officer of MHRA, said: “Proof shows that almost a third of the side effects for medicines can be prevented with the introduction of genetic tests.”
It is predicted that side effects the NHS could cost more than £ 2.2 billion a year in hospital enclosures more than £ 2.2 billion a year, she added.
These Blockbuster -Jabs are also credited for lowering blood sugar levels for people with type 2 diabetes, but Mrs. Joy warned that they are not a silver bullet and can come up with some serious side effects.
Recent estimates suggest that around 1.5 million people in the UK Jabs decrease, many of which are purchased privately because of NHS rationing.
Most side effects linked to the Jabs are gastrointestinal, including nausea, constipation and diarrhea.
Ms Joy, however, warned that Mounjaro can also cause serious dehydration, especially in people with diabetes.
It usually causes headaches and dizziness, but if it is not treated quickly, it can even lead to attacks, kidney failure or fatal prove.
Further reactions and deaths are linked to other side effects after the use of GLP-1 drugs.
The MHRA emphasizes that it has not been established that the Jabs caused the diseases, but that the patients themselves have reported them as side effects.
Professor Matt Brown, Chief Scientific Officer of Genomics England, said: ‘GLP-1 medicines such as Ozempic and Wegovy have reached the headlines, but like all medicines there can be a risk of serious side effects.
‘We believe that there is really potential to minimize it with many side effects with a genetic cause.
“This next step in our partnership with the MHRA will generate data and evidence for safer and more effective treatment through more personalized recipe approaches to support a shift to an increasingly prevention -oriented health care system.”
