Produced by SynergySP, Solo camping for two Episode 1 was screened in advance in the Crunchyroll podium at Anime Expo 2025 on July 3, 2025. The episode brought the iconic moments and panels from author Yudai Debates of the same name Mangaserie, with a relaxing animation quality.
The premiere introduced viewers in the central characters, Gen Kinokura and Shizuru Kusano, and emphasized their delicate chemistry, together with a lot of Trivia on camping. Although it is difficult to summarize the production of a whole series based on a single episode, SynergySP has done well to project the characters and events of the original Manga in Anime layout.
The story remained faithful to the manga, with subtle additions for animation purposes. From a thematic perspective, the Solo camping for two Episode 1 focuses strictly on camping and a world that is uninhabited by the clamors of daily life. It was a pleasant premiere, refreshing for the eyes and the soul.
Solo Camping for two episode 1 Review: A simple plot improved by the non -apologetic production of SynergySP

The prior premiere of Solo camping for two Episode 1 marked a refreshing start of a healthy series, based on the Manga of Yudai Debata. The episode was the definition of how a simple plot of life can enchant with an abundance of emotions. Solitude often brings pleasure, especially when one searches to escape from the clamors of daily life.
At least this applies to our male protagonist, Gen Kinokura, who happens to be an expert in camping in the mountains. Mother Nature, with his flora and fauna, heals the soul and brings calm to Gino’s heart while slowly preparing his camping set. In this respect, Solo camping for two Episode 1 served as a course for camping, full of Trivia.
As fans already know from the trailers and synopsis of the anime, Kinokura creates more than anything. Yet everything changes when he crosses paths with Shizuku Kusano, a 20-year-old camper in the mountains. Solo camping for two Episode 1 has perfectly recorded with the accidental meeting of Gen and Shizuku, remain faithful to the Manga of Yudai-San.

Like most anime series of life, the premiere of the title does not falter too much from the central storyline, which is ‘camping’. It is not only the theme, but the essence, which the whole story is all about. Camping brought Gino and Shizuku, two extremely different people.
Gino’s personality was the total opposite of Shizukus, who wanted to camp together. Gino, however, did not want to share his precious time of loneliness with anyone. Yet the contradictions, such as the Solo camping for two Episode 1 was focused on their unique chemistry and ‘partnership’.
From a narrative perspective, Solo camping for two Episode 1 has somewhat expanded the Manga Panels of Yudai-San with more important frames. Otherwise, production would not have had important moments to record. Moreover, the episode included the first two chapters of the Manga and injected life into the characters and nature.
Solo Camping for two episode 1 Review: An evaluation of the animation and production of SynergySP

From an animation perspective, the Solo camping for two Episode 1 could have placed more emphasis on the backgrounds. The elements of nature felt somewhat because they did not move as much as the characters. That is why the backgrounds seemed somewhat static. Otherwise the background art was excellent, with a good touch of the flora and fauna.
Tomomi Shimazaki has done fantastic work to the characters by injecting the life of Yudai Debata from the Manga. The appearances of Gen and Shizuku were lively and they had their lives for them. The character movements were also on point, especially during the moments when the male protagonist demonstrated different ways to set up a camp in the mountains.

Similarly, Daiki Hachimaki (Sound Director) and Shota Kowashi (Music Composer) have done a decent work in the osts of the episode. As a director, Jun Hatori ensured that the premiere would catch the refreshing vibes of the original Manga series.
Moreover, Daiki Hamano and Mizuki Niizaki have contributed as much to the fresh production of the episode, where their voice is active for Gen and Shizuku respectively.
Conclusion
Solo camping for two Episode 1 was a great premiere, which emphasized the serene aspects of nature. In the midst of the serenity of nature and in -depth silence, gene kinokura and Shizuku’s irresistible chemistry served as a perfect recipe for camping.
From cooking food to chat, the episode had everything a fan would like from a simple anime series of life. The episode will eventually be broadcast on Japanese televisions on July 10, 2025 and on Crunchyroll on the same date.
