In a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, group captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to visit the international space station that he had brought Gajar Ka Halwa and Aamras (Mango Pulp Juice) with him and treated his co -astronauts with the traditional Indian sweets.
“I brought food such as Gajar Ka Halwa and Aamras to the space with me and gave them as a treat to my fellow astronauts,” said Shukla from the space station as he answered the questions of PM Modi.
“Today you come out of our mother country, but you are closest to the hearts of Indians … Aapke name Mein Bhi Shubh Hai Aapki Yatra Yatra Naye Yug Ka Shubharambh Bhi Hai,” said Prebharambh Bhi Hai, “said Prebharambh Bhi Subhanghu Sukla.
“At the moment, while we speak, the feelings of 140 crore -Indians are connected to you. I am here the excitement, pride and hope of every Indian. While you wear our national flag in space, I am expanding my cordial congratulations and wish uu the very best,” the prime minister added.
During his conversation with Premier Modi, Shukla also said that India looks big and larger out of space than on the map.
Shukla is part of the Axiom-4 mission and is also the pilot of the mission.
He is accompanied by mission commander Peggy Whitson of the US, and mission specialists Sawosz Uznanski van Polen and Tibor Kapu van Hungary.
