Most interesting start -up stories of the week
This week brought us right -handed, mergers and acquisitions, and a combination of both.
AI agents: Data Cyber Security Company Rubrik has acquired Predibase to accelerate the acceptance of AI agents by its users. The startup, which helps companies refine AI models, had raised around $ 28 million in risk capital. Deal amount was not disclosed, but was reportedly considerable.
Sailing: The German Startup Kadmos, which had picked up $ 38 million in external capital for his salary payment platform for seafarer employees, was taken over by Nyk Line as part of the efforts of the Japanese shipping company to expand its fintech services.
Red herring? Surrounded AI Music Startup Suno announced the acquisition of Van Wavtool, a browser-based AI Digital Audio Workstation, in a deal that actually happened a few months ago, but that it chose to make the heels of another copyright lawsuit known.

Another week, another round of $ 300 million – sometimes with wild different ratings, even for the same company. In the meantime, the small deals also keep things interesting.
The same amount, new appreciation: Harvey AI collected a $ 300 million series, led by smaller Perkins and coatue. This is only four months after Sequoia led a series D of $ 300 million on a rating of $ 3 billion in the AI-enabled Legal Tech Startup, which is now rated at $ 5 billion.
You have the writer: Abridge, an AI Startup Automing Medical Notes, has a series E of $ 300 million secured by A16Z with a rating of $ 5.3 billion.
Crypto -forecasts: Blockchain-based prediction market platform Kalshi collected a round of $ 185 million with a rating of $ 2 billion after the money, while rival polymarket reportedly works to conclude a round of $ 200 million in a pre-money appreciation of around $ 1 billion.
Money in the bank: Finom, a challenger bank that focuses on SMEs throughout Europe, has picked up around $ 133 million in a series of C finance round that comes alongside the $ 105 million in growth finance that it has protected by the Customer Value Fund of General Catalyst a few weeks ago.
High: Indian Drone-Startup Raphe Mphibrub has collected $ 100 million in a series B-round led by a general catalyst. The customers include the Indian army, the Navy and the Air Force, as well as armed police services.
Easy dictation: AI-driven dictation app Wisprstream locked in $ 30 million in a Serie A that yielded its total financing to $ 56 million. The company also released an iOS app earlier this month.
Upcycled: NovoLoop, a startup that Upcycles plastic waste has collected a series B of $ 21 million to complete the design and start the construction of its first factory on a commercial scale.
Data processing for AI: Finally, a startup inspired by a data processing problem that his founders encountered at LYFT, achieved two rounds of financing at a total of $ 27.5 million within eight months.
AI voting: SynthFlow AI, a no-code platform established in Berlin with which Enterprises can build and implement customized white-label voice AI customer service agents, has led a Serie A of $ 20 million led by Accel.
