Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo will stay on the Mayoral Stemnemet van New York City in November on the independent ballot for which he qualified, a source that is close to the campaign to ABC News.
Cuomo qualified in May to “deliver” Vecht and the delivery of “ballot line in the general elections” by an independent nominating petition that was submitted to the New York City Board of Elections, which he said was intended to reach voters who were disillusioned with the Democratic party. He could have appeared on both the Democratic party and the “fighting and delivering” lines on the general election mood if he had won the Democratic Primary.
CNN First reported On Thursday evening, Cuomo, who admitted to state assembly member Zohran Mamdani in the Democratic Primary for the mayor of New York City on Tuesday, would not withdraw from the independent ballot, but had not yet decided to actively campaign in the coming months.

In a speech for supporters on Tuesday evening, Cuomo said to supporters: “Tonight was not our night; tonight, assembler Mamdani’s night … He earned it. He won. We’re going to take a look and make some decisions.”
Candidates have until the end of Friday 27 June to withdraw from an independent ballot for which they qualified, According to the New York State Board of Elections calendar.
A source close to the campaign told ABC News on Thursday that the former governor is looking at all the data, including the New York City Board of Elections would only publish a rankish voice tobulations on 1 July.
Cuomo said to CBS 2 New York on Wednesday: “So I have that independent line. I qualified for that. And I am in that line in November. And we look at the figures that come in from the primary. And then we have to look at the landscape in the general elections, which is a totally different landscape.”
He added later: “We will take it at the same time because we are the [full] Figures of the primary elections, and we have some time. “
Cuomo’s run for mayor comes four years after he resigned as governor after several women accused him of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior. He denied the allegations and recently told the New York Times that he regretted that he has resigned.
On Thursday, the sitting Democratic mayor Eric Adams, who also runs as independent in the general elections, officially deposited his re -election campaign.
Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa and independent candidate Jim Walden will also be at the mood in November.
