Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles has agreed a new multi -year contract extension with the team, it has been announced.
Bowles, who spent three of his six seasons with the BUCs as head coach after he was initially connected as a defensive coordinator, entered Tampa Bay in the last year of his previous $ 3 million contract.
But this week the 61-year-old expanded his stay even further after he put Pen on paper with an extension, with ESPN report that his new agreement is three seasons.
In addition to Bowles, it is also said that general manager Jason Licht has received a new multi -year deal.
“Jason and Todd’s excellent leadership and vision have been crucial for our organizational success, and the winning culture they have set up, has positioned us well in the future,” said Buccaneers owner and co-chairman Joel Glazer in a statement on Thursday.
‘Jason has evolved into one of the top taluators and general managers in the NFL, while Todd has led us to three consecutive division titles and is one of the leading defensive spirits of the competition.

General Manager Jason Light, depicted with Bowles on 3 June, has also signed a new deal
“Under their guidance we will continue to build a different championship.”
Both Bowles and Light, the fifth longest GM of the NFL who is preparing to enter its 12th season, played an important role in the recent Revival of Tampa Bay, which started with a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LV.
The BUCs have possessed the NFC South since then and have won four straight titles – three of which were under Bowles after being promoted by Light from DC to head coach after the retirement of Bruce Arians in the early 2022.
In his three years at the helm so far, the former defensive back has gathered a record of 27-24 while reaching the division round of the play-offs.
And in his stints, both as a DC as a head coach, the defense of the team has been the best of the NFL since 2019, which led the competition in hasty defense (93.8 yards per match), opponent Yards per Carry (68) (68), while he became second in bags (281.0) and fifth in Red in Red).
“I am delighted to continue working with Jason for years while we are building the success that we have enjoyed and continued to reach for even larger and better goals,” Bowles said after extending his stay with the BUCs.
“My family loves Tampa and we look forward to delivering more great moments for our fans in the coming seasons.”
In the meantime, Licht said: ‘I am very grateful to the Glazer family for the confidence and conviction they have shown in what we do here. I am also very enthusiastic to work together with Todd to far into the future, while we continue our mission to find and develop talented players and to hunt extra championships for our fans. ‘
