The selection debate was too loud to avoid, but the Surrey man perhaps has been in control in the most public way, in hand for a sale of the public in Yorkshire on Saturday.
“We are very good at keeping things in the dressing room, but you can clearly hear the noise from outside,” Duckett admitted.
“We have no discussions in the dressing room about who is going to play. But the way Popey was dealt with has been fantastic. The barrel together and proves why he is number three of England and does what he does.”
