The romance of Globetrotting Star Rebel has received Charlie Appleby this year from the stamp at Royal Ascot with a typical determination display in the hardwicke stakes.
Favorite backers will have been very worried, with the romance of Rebel travels strongly everywhere and he has the following score of a length and three -quarters from Al Riffa, with ghostwriter Third, has hetero and three -quarters of Al Riffa.
Humidity too strong for Chesham rivals
Humidity ensured that his rivals felt the heat in the Chesham stakes thanks to a nice ride from James Doyle at Royal Ascot.
Trained by Andrew Balding, he was an impressive winner in the colors of Cheveley Park Stud about six Furlongs in Newbury on debut, but was transferred to the ownership of Wathnan Racing before they step up to seven Furlongs for this listed event.
Humidity (4-1) was quickly gone and never passed his rivals and showed a great determination when he was challenged late in the day to replicate his brother Holloway Boy, who won this match during the Royal Meeting 2022.
Balding said: “I am so satisfied and at the beginning of the week we thought this horse was probably our strongest chance.
“He is a beautiful horse that had to fight hard today, and he did nothing wrong. I hope he would continue, but he is also not short of. This was always the plan, but we will now work back from something nice in the fall.
“He’s so relaxed. I am a big fan of Ulysses – I think he is an undervalued stallion, so this is good for him and we have a few other nice horses of him, but he [Humidity] is an absolute guy, very relaxed.
“I think he could be a Guineas horse. He has no shortage of speed and he has a nice long pass, so he has a bright future.”
Thesecretadversary followed the humidity at home a length of drift on 12-1, with trainer Fozzy Stack who predicted a bright future for the son of St. Mark’s Basilica.
“He ran a great race. It’s annoying that we didn’t get there, but he ran a great race,” said Stack.
“He has been very simple, he has always looked a bit above the average from the moment we started to do a little with him.
“I know it’s pretty colorful, but it’s actually a very good model. Seamie [Heffernan, jockey] Was happy with him, he said he has the pace of a good horse, he feels that he will mature on time.
“We have all the options, we can walk back to a girl, we can continue to throw at a higher level. We will see it.”
