USA Cricket Captain Monank Patel delivered a sensational performance in Major League Cricket (MLC) while hit 93 points, only 50 balls and helped Mi New York (Miny) get a beautiful seven-wicket victory against Seattle Orcas in a high scoring meeting. Patel chased a huge target of 201 in the Oakland Coliseum and anchored the innings with a master class in T20 Batting. After a slow start, he exploded in action and scored 89 points of his next 38 deliveries. His innings contain eight limits and seven massive sixes, which led Miny to their first victory of the season.
This effort not only led to the highest successful Run-Chase of the MLC 2025 season to date, but also broke the record for the highest score by an American in the history of the competition that the previous best of 91 of Corey Anderson transferred.
Once Monank was dismissed shortly before a well -deserved century, Kieron Pollard brought his characteristic finish power, and hit 26 out of just 10 balls to seal the chase with a save.
This victory closes the Oakland stage of the tournament for Mi New York, making them competitive because the competition is now shifting to Dallas, Texas. In the meantime, the loss marked the third straight defeat for the orcas of Seattle, which are now sitting at the bottom of the table next to the Los Angeles Knight Riders.
