The Nigerian midfielder Joshua Udoh was in action for Al Ain who suffered a 5-0 defeat against Juventus, in their opening group G-fixture at the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday morning.
While Udoh was introduced in the 90th minute, his Nigerian teammates Rilwanu Sarki and Hassan Muhammed were not included in the competition day team.
Goals from Randal Kolo-Muani (Brace), Francisco Concukicao (Brace) and Kenan Yildiz gave the Serie A Giants a perfect start to the renewed FIFA Club World Cup.
Kolo-Muani opened the score in the 11th minute before Conceicao made the score 21 minutes.
Ten minutes later, Yildiz got Juventus’ third goal, while Kolo-Muani added the fourth goal for four minutes in the first half-stop time.
In the 58th minute, Conceicao was given its second goal to bring the score 5-0 for Juventus.
Al Ain will be back in action on Sunday 22 June for their second fixture, when they are confronted on the same day against Premier League -force Manchester City, while Juventus takes on Wydad Casablanca.

In the first draw of the group, Manchester City Wydad defeated 2-0 thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Jeremie Doku.
In the meantime, FC Salzburg defeated H Pachuca 2-1 to take the top position.
Real Madrid and Al Hilal had played an exciting 1-1 draw in the opening fixture of the group.
