Valkyries doomed by Sloppig Game, autumn to last place Vleugels led by Paige Bueckers

After they had merged a three-game extraction streak, the Golden State Valkyries could not keep up with their momentum and took a bad loss from 80-71 to last place Dallas Wings on the Road.

The Valkyries were surpassed with 40-27 and turned the ball over 16 times in the defeat.

In her first start, Center Monique Billings had a season-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds. Wing Kayla Thornton scored 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Guard Tiffany Hayes returned after missing the last four games and came from the bank, scored 10 points.

Dallas Wings Rookie Sensation Paige Bueckers amounted to a total of 20 points, four rebounds and four steals to break the seven-game losing streak of the wings.

Thornton wins player of the week

Prior to the match on Tuesday, the WNBA announced that Thornton won the Western Conference player of the week after she had an average of 20 points and 11.5 rebounds in two wins at the Los Angeles Sparks and the Seattle Storm. She shot 43.8% of the field in that piece.

Thornton won the prize for the first time in her career and became the first player in the history of Valkyries who did this.

Atlanta Dream Forward Allisha Gray won player of the week in the Eastern Conference.
