Mackenzie Holmes returns to Seattle after he had previously been abandoned

On May 12, the storm announced that they had abandoned Holmes next to Brianna Fraser and Serena Sundell. But on Saturday the storm gave Li Yueru’s request to be traded and therefore opened an extra place in their selection. On 6’3, Holmes does not have Yueru’s height completely, but she helps to strengthen the vanguard of the storm and can be a reliable scorer around the edge.

Holmes is the newest player who again signed with a team that abandoned last month; On Sunday, the Golden State Valkyries announced that they are Chloe Bibby and Kaitlyn ChenBoth were on their training camp schedule. Many teams in the WNBA sign temporary players in the aftermath of their players who go abroad to participate in Eurobasket, but Holmes could cure a place in the longer term in the team, given the permanent departure of Yueru.
