The 57-year-old reportedly had a manifesto with a list of 70 public figures, including abortion supporters
The primary suspect in the murder of the senior democratic Minnesota-State legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband was arrested after a two-day manhunt, according to local law enforcement.
Vance Luther Boelter, who is said to have put as a police officer to carry out the attack, also shot and injured a Senator of the State, John Hoffman, and his wife in a separate incident. The police found the 57-year-old near his house in Sibley County, Minnesota.
Authorities say that Boelter occurs as a police officer to gain access to the houses of his victims. He attacked Senator Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, for the first time in their house in Champlin, Minnesota, early on Saturday morning. Both were shot several times but survived. Then Boelter reportedly went to the house of representative Hortman in nearby Brooklyn Park, where he fashed her and her husband, Mark.

Officers added that the vehicle “Looked exactly like an SUV team” and had emergency lights so it appeared “Exactly like a police vehicle.”
The list of approximately 70 names has reportedly included prominent legislators and community leaders, as well as information about care facilities. A Minnesota official told AP that the list included legislators who had supported public abortion rights.
Governor Tim Walz described the shootings as “Targeted political violence.” Boelter had previously served as a political appointed in the same workforce for workforce as Hoffman, although it remains unclear whether they knew each other. He was known for having conservative views and had spoken anti-subsection timents.
Before the attacks, Boelter reportedly sent text messages to friends who apologized for his actions, although he did not indicate what he had done. “I’m going away for a while. Maybe may be dead soon, so I just want to let you know that I both love you and I wish it hadn’t happened that way,” “ He wrote in messages seen by AP.
Boelter is confronted with several charges, including two counts of second -degree murder and two counts of attempted second -degree murder.
