Wonderla’s switch to the retreat space with Isle is on a leash with the growing demand for differentiated leisure experiences for this price
Wonderla has extended its offer to hospitality and is marked his debut in the retreat room with Isle in Bengaluru. Spread over 4.5 hectares, the resort of 39 keys has glamping tents, houses and other accommodations.
Developed with an investment of £ 39 crore, Isle is priced from £ 10,000 and is part of a larger expansion plan.
Arun K Chittapilly, executive chairman and director of Wonderla Holidays, said that the company plans to replicate the concept in Hyderabad and Kochi if it is successful. “We want to do this at all our locations, starting with the larger amusement parks. If it works, we even integrate the retreat in the park design itself. It can also be established in the park,” he said.
According to Grand View Research, the India Resort Market generated $ 14.0 billion in income in 2024 and it is expected that $ 44.7 billion will be reached in 2030. Chittapilly also noticed that Isle, apart from serving as a space for outings, the island will provide for events, which he regards as an important category for the retreat.
