Richards admits that Liverpool Defender is starting to worry ‘after beating Palace

The unbeaten start of the Premier League start ended in Selhurst Park, and the discussion after the game was strongly focused on a defensive performance that exposed us.

“Konate is starting to worry a bit,” The former defender of Manchester City explained.

“He and Van Dijk have been a good partnership, but his individual mistakes are currently making the backline a little nervy.

“You know that Liverpool always looks good in the defense, Van Dijk Marshals always the backline, but they give the palace too many opportunities for no real reason, it was just sloppy, and that is so different from Liverpool.”

The French Center-Back has already passed this campaign a few uncertain moments, with Richards who made comparisons with his shaky outing against Bournemouth.

Liverpool needs stability in the defense

The deceased winner from Eddie Nketiah was the last blow on a day when Alisson Becker kept us in the game for long spells.

The equalizer of Federico Chiesa looked like it would protect a point, but the collapse in the stopping time only underlined the point of Richards that we were nervous at the back.

So far, this season we have admitted six goals in six league matches, and although that does not seem alarming on paper, the way of those opportunities is disturbing.
