Hello, and welcome to Friday Statwatch, Deel Potpourri, partly quest when it comes to American Scholastic Veldhockey Numbers. We try to bring together a good set of lists every week for your pleasure.
This week’s remarkable statistical event is the fact that Yorktown Tabb (VA.) Won his 100th consecutive field hockey match on 25 September and the second team became this year. The other team that did the same this year is Watertown (Mass.), Which won his 100th on September 9.
Tabb and Watertown have a number of remarkable parallels; They are medium -sized schools in their respective states and are quite ‘middle’ in terms of their registration. Watertown has around 761 students according to official figures, Tabb tips at 1130.
Every school has its share in the I Alumnae division and the coaches of both schools have been chosen for the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame. Wendy Wilson from Tabb will become a member of Watertown’s Eileen Donahue in the hall in January.
Oh, and, that we don’t forget, both teams currently have state championships. Watertown has 22 championships and Tabb has 12.
Another parallel to both powerful programs is the fact that they played hockey so well in their recent history, not even allowing one goal for an opponent for a long time. Watertown has spun shutout stripes of 41 and 30 games, and Tabb has a 27-game Shutout streak on its honor. From the end of the game on Wednesday, TABB has a nine-game Shutout Skein. Things like usual for the Tigers, I think.
Under this section is a compilation of available statistics until last Wednesday from available sources such as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, New Jersey Advance Media, the administrative bodies of Kentucky and Michigan, and of course of course The easy-to-use MaxPreps.com-Platform. I encourage you to enter your colleague teams there in their information, as well as what your local news site is, so that we can strive for the most complete statistical picture of the country.
