Knicks and Raptors mutually drop lawsuit after allegations of stolen information

After being scorched earth in lawsuits, the Knicks decided not to sue the Raptors and the NBA after all.

According to ESPNthe Knicks have “voluntarily dismissed” their lawsuit against an NBA rival despite allegations that a Raptors employee stole thousands of confidential files.

The Knicks alleged in multiple lawsuits that the Raptors poached their former video coordinator, Ikechukwu Azotam, and ordered him to give them confidential internal scouting information.

Azotam is a former Knicks video coordinator who was hired by the Raptors.

The Knicks had asked for $10 million for the lawsuit and explosively accused NBA commissioner Adam Silver of being a biased referee because of his close relationship with Raptors owner Larry Tanenbaum.

Earlier this month, Knicks owner James Dolan and Silver were spotted together in Abu Dhabi, where the pair attended a Knicks-Sixers preseason game.

The Knicks accused the Raptors and Azotam of criminal conduct and filed the first lawsuit in 2023.

According to ESPN, it was dropped without public explanation on Thursday.

The Raptors filed a countersuit, claiming the Knicks were just seeking attention.

That was also deleted.
