It’s time for our early Scout Picks for Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).
Of course, a lot can still change in the run-up to our final weekly selection on Friday.
The upcoming Scout Squad nominations will help shape our final Scout Picks. The European ties during the week and the pre-match press conferences will also have an impact.
But this ‘bus team’ at least offers insight into the players and teams that qualify.
There are, as always, certain limitations for our team:
- A budget of £83.0 million for our starting XI
- A total selection cap of £100.0 million
- No more than three players per team

THE PROBABLY BOYS

There will inevitably be a Manchester City triple-up this week.
Leeds United conceded thirteen goals in their last six league matches before heading to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. They also failed to keep a clean sheet in the 2025/2026 season.
Nico O’Reilly (£5.0 million), Jeremy Doku (£6.5 million) and Erling Haaland (£14.9m) has been included in our Scout Picks ‘bus team’, but other players are also being considered, such as Gianluigi Donnarumma (£5.7 million) and Phil Foden (£8.0 million).
Matheus Nunes (£5.3 million) and Rayan Cherki (£6.4m) are also floating on our radar, with Donyell Malen (£5.1m) the latest player to provide an assist from Leeds’ leaky left flank.
Over the past four gameweeks, Daniel Farke’s side have conceded the second most chances from the left (15):

In any case, the Scout Picks front line seems to be stuck, with Igor Thiago (£6.5m) ready to join Haaland at the top. The in-form Brazilian scored nine goals in 12 games ahead of Saturday’s match against Burnley, a team who have had 36 ‘big chances’ this season, the most of any side.
Morgan Rogers (£6.8m), meanwhile, is the standout option after the attack on Aston Villa. He has five attacking returns in his last seven run-outs and has a good home run against Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are the only team to still keep a clean sheet in the 2025/26 season.

A home game for Brentford against Burnley means a triple-up is very likely, but who will join Thiago?
Kevin Damage (£7.0 million) and Dango Ouattara (£6.0 million) will be in discussion. Schade has returned in four of his last five home matches, while Ouattara has scored seven ‘big chances’ this season, a total that only four midfielders have surpassed.
Nathan Collins (£4.9 million), Michael Kayode (£4.5 million) and Sepp van den Berg (£4.5m) will be considered at the back end.
Arsenal players have been a regular in the Scout Picks this season, but representation may be low in Gameweek 13, while others have more favorable fixtures. After all, Chelsea have been top in expected goals (xG) since early October after beating Barcelona 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Above: Teams sorted by expected goals (xG) from the last six gameweeks
Tottenham Hotspur’s patchy attacking form means there won’t be too many players Mohammed Jerusalem (£6.5 million) or Richarlison (£6.4m), but Willem Vicaris (£5.0m) or a Spurs defender could prove more popular against a Fulham side who have scored just four goals in six away games.
Elsewhere, Matty Cash (£4.6m) is our favorite Aston Villa defender in Gameweek 13. He has registered eight shots and created six chances in his last six starts. He also played on settons. Opponents Wolves don’t have a clean sheet this season, but we would still be hungry for the goal Ollie Watkins (£8.5m)? With Rob Edwards’ side ranked 20th in key passes from central areas in the 2025/2026 season, Rogers will certainly be our preferred route into the Villa attack.
Crystal Palace – Manchester United is difficult to predict this week, especially with Oliver Glasner’s team playing in Strasbourg on Thursday evening. Daniel Munoz (£5.9 million), Ismail Sarr (£6.7 million), Jean-Philippe Mateta (£8.1 million), Bruno Fernandes (£8.9 million) and Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6m), names usually included in the Scout Picks mix, are left out of betting.
Gameweek 12 was a dismal audition for Liverpool’s aces, but was very much in keeping with their form this season. Still, Muhammad Salah (£14.2 million), Cody Agat (£7.5 million), Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.6 million) and Hugo Ekitike (£8.6m) should all be in the conversation for Friday’s squad, with West Ham United keeping a clean sheet in seven games under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Salah’s underlying numbers have also shown improvement of late. In fact, the Egyptian has been the FPL’s leading player for shots and key passes since early October:

Liverpool are one of the bookmakers’ favorites for a clean sheet in Gameweek 13, but they are not exactly in rich form as they have kept just one shutout in their last eight league matches. Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) has at least the potential of a set-piece threat and defensive contribution (DefCon).
The red hot one Morgan Gibbs White (£7.3m), as well as DefCon magnet Elliot Anderson (£5.3 million), are other candidates. Furthermore, Nottingham Forest’s defensive improvement under Sean Dyche (they have only had two big chances in four games) increases the appeal of Nikola Milenkovic (£5.2 million) and Murillo (£5.3 million).
THE LONGER SHOTS

Everton against Newcastle United is a difficult match to call. Given the Magpies’ dismal away record, Nick Woltemade (£7.4 million) is likely to miss out.
Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) is an outside option against a poor Liverpool backline.
Elsewhere, a fitness update Antoine Semenyo (£8.0m) would be welcome, although it is worth noting that Sunderland have performed much better at home.
Yankuba Minteh (£6.1 million) and Danny Welbeck‘s (£6.6m) form is generating some interest, but there are likely better points elsewhere in Gameweek 13.
