Bag Boy Nitron Review: A push cart for game changer

5 minutes, 49 seconds Read

I have always looked in awe at the ‘Push Cart Mafia’ Fivesome, sprining the fairway and finished 18 holes in less than three and a half hours. I have always attributed a lot of their speed and attributed to their use of push carts – which I had never used in my 45 years. Now that I have played more than 15 rounds with my Bag Boy Nitron 3-wheel push wagonI formally submitted my application to become a member of the Push Cart Mafia.

And Peterson

Dan Peterson is a golf -loving note who is forever grateful to his grandfather for getting to know him in the game. He regularly loses his 16-year-old son at North Hills Country Club and returns to the game by serving as chairman of the board for the first tee of Southeast Wisconsin.

First impress

The first thing you notice about the nitron is how compact it is. When the box arrived at my house, I was surprised by how small it was. I thought there is no way to fit a Push cart in its actual size. I was wrong. Setting up was incredibly simple – attracting the wheels and preparing it took less than five minutes in the parking lot on the Oaks Golf Course.

The Nitron has a transformer -like quality and automatically opens with the push of a handle. I have the red and blue version, so of course I mentioned Mine Optimus Prime. Mash Offers 11 standard color schemes and you can even create a custom look via their website.

The Nitron feels very light. It breaks down in seconds, is easy to lift in the car and does not take up much space. I have a Honda pilot, who has a lot of loading space, but I would not provide a problem that the nitron and a few sets of clubs fits into a standard sedan suitcase.

Design, portability and performance

Operating the push wagon is just as easy. First you protect your bag in the nitron using Top-Lok® technology-my-taylormade bag is straightened. You can then hold it for extra security. When I say it’s safe, I mean it – your bag is protected as Fort Knox.

Then adjust the handle height to your position. I missed this step in my first round and ended with a weird pinch in my shoulder blades. After I had adjusted the height, that inconvenience went away. The handbrake also works great – pull the lever out to lock it, push it back to let go.

I don’t have my rounds officially using the NitronBut I am convinced that I saved at least 10 minutes per round. A big reason? The built -in distance magnet, which grabs like a vice. It is a serious time saving not to have to dig in the ranging pocket of my bag. Having extra balls and T pieces are easily accessible, has also sustained things. It was surprisingly free that it didn’t have to mess around in my pockets for T pieces.

A function that really surprised me was the mobile phone holder. It kept my phone in place for the entire round, making it easy to check GPS, skip songs or respond to a fast e -mail. You will be so seamlessly checked in on e -mail that your boss doesn’t even know that you have cut an emergency nine in an emergency.

The drink holder is another nice touch. It is useful to keep your chosen drink at hand, and to be honest, it reminded me of staying hydrated – I would note my score and immediately take a sip of water.

The Nitron, Reporting for Work

Another big advantage of using a push wagon? You retain energy. Instead of constantly securing and loosening and bending a carrier bag, just push. I get back on flare-ups a few times a year and I am convinced that this will help me stay healthier during the course.

ADD-ONS & Limitations

There are various optional add-ons for the Taskjong Nitron. It comes with an umbrella holder (which I have not yet had to use, luckily). You can also add a seat attachment, and Bag Boy sells a fan who is knocking on the shopping cart-I would certainly appreciate that during some of the 90 degrees we had in Milwaukee this season.

If there is a disadvantage of the nitron, it is only when it navigates through very hilly terrain. A course that I played has a staircase that leads from a low spot, and wearing the cart that was upstairs was not easy – and I am in decent form. It takes a little extra effort on steep climbs. I would imagine that this is common of most, if not all, push carts.

Final verdict

While my application at the Push Cart Mafia is still awaiting, I will roll out Nitron In the meantime. It has made the course more pleasant, more efficient and much more fun.
